Privacy Policy.

A2M Technologies, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the The Early Bird mobile application and web application (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and company name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.
Team information. Account owners and managers can add team members. We collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles, and pay rates for those team members.
Job and project data. Job names, descriptions, client names, addresses, schedules, and checklists you create within the Service.
Time and attendance. Clock-in and clock-out times, break durations, calculated hours, and associated pay information.
Photos and videos. Media you upload to the Service, including any metadata such as file size, dimensions, and captions. If you enable GPS tagging in your settings, photos may include location coordinates.
Location data. Job site addresses and coordinates you enter. If you draw a geofence on the map, we store those boundary coordinates. GPS photo tagging is optional and controlled by you in Settings.
Messages. Text and images you send through the in-app messaging feature.
Forms and signatures. Data you enter into custom forms, including any signatures you provide.
Device information. We collect your device's push notification token so we can send you notifications. We also collect standard log data (browser type, operating system, IP address) when you use the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Process time cards and generate payroll reports
- Deliver push notifications and in-app messages
- Analyze photos using artificial intelligence to generate captions, tags, and safety observations (see Section 3)
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI-Powered Features
The Early Bird uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) to analyze construction photos you upload. This includes generating descriptive captions, identifying materials and equipment, classifying work phases, and flagging potential safety observations.
When you upload a photo, image data and basic job context may be sent to OpenAI's API for processing. We do not use your photos to train AI models. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy, which does not use API inputs for model training.
AI features also help generate form templates from plain-language descriptions you provide.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate The Early Bird:
- Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, file storage, and real-time data delivery
- Google Maps and Google Places — map display, address autocomplete, and geofence visualization
- OpenAI — photo analysis, captioning, tagging, and form generation (see Section 3)
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — delivering push notifications to iOS devices
Each third-party service processes data according to their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:
- Within your team. Information you add to the Service (jobs, time cards, photos, messages) is visible to other members of your team based on their role and permissions.
- Service providers. With the third-party services listed in Section 4, solely to operate the Service.
- Legal requirements. If required by law, court order, or government request.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States). Media files (photos and videos) are stored in secure cloud storage with access controlled by signed, time-limited URLs.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security policies on our database, and role-based access controls within the application. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and associated records within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Access and update your profile information in the Settings screen at any time
- Disable GPS tagging on photos in your Settings
- Disable push notifications through your device settings
- Delete your account from the Settings screen, which will remove your data as described in Section 7

If you are a resident of California, you may have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
9. Children's Privacy
The Early Bird is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@a2mtechnologies.com and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of The Early Bird after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
